Meet Ken: A global perspective on corporate wear

Hailing from Hong Kong, Ken brings a global perspective and a deep understanding of the garment and retail industries. His journey is a testament to his adaptability and keen business sense, making him an invaluable asset to the ICW team.

A career built on trust and innovation

Ken’s career is a story of consistent growth and success. In Hong Kong, he was a key supplier to European markets, specialising in B2B business. His core skills in forecasting and managing factory-to-buyer relationships were paramount, with a strong focus on sustainability and recycling to meet client requirements.

After moving to the UK in 2021, Ken took on a significant role managing the entire process from design to sourcing for a major high street retailer. He was responsible for every step, from design concepts to sourcing and costing. A highlight was turning a single product line into a multi-category account, earning the full trust of his client over two years. Ken was drawn to ICW for the new challenges and larger business scale, recognising that his skills were a perfect fit.

Pioneering a sustainable future

Ken is particularly excited about ICW’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. He’s been impressed by our use of robotics and automation in the warehouse and believes the workwear sector has a significant opportunity to introduce and promote sustainable practices. He is eager to help customers with new ideas for recycling materials, especially with items like fly bags and packaging.

Beyond the fabric

Outside of work, Ken’s life revolves around his family. He cherishes spending time with his nine-year-old daughter and they enjoy reading or playing badminton together. He also has a passion for driving, which led to an incredible road trip with his family from the UK to the Netherlands.

Looking ahead, Ken is focused on winning the trust of new clients like Co-op and Farmfoods, with a vision to double their business. His commitment and vision are clear, and we’re excited to see the impact he will have.
