Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

CSR

This is a term used to describe a company’s efforts that contribute to sustainable development by ensuring economic, social and environmental benefits. We believe it is the responsibility of every business to take account for its impact. Incorporatewear, along with our parent company Wesfarmers, are committed to making positive contributions to society.

SEDEX

We are proud to be members of SEDEX which is a global membership organisation which shares responsible sourcing data on supply chains, for companies to manage their performance around labour rights, health and safety, the environment and business ethics. Their services allow members to bring together all kinds of data, standards and certifications to make informed decisions and to drive continuous improvement to their supply chains.

As members of SEDEX this allows us to store, share and report on all of our suppliers, and we ensure we only work with suppliers that meet the very stringent checks to conform to the SMETA audit process.

SMETA

SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) is one of the most widely used ethical audit formats in the world. In using it a supplier can have just one audit conducted and share it with multiple customers and includes the following categories; Health and safety, labour standards, environment and business ethics.

We prohibit discrimination, forced, trafficked and child labour and are committed to safe and healthy working conditions. We will only work with suppliers who operate in line with our Code of Conduct and Ethical Sourcing Policy.
